How to Feel Energized During Each Season of your Cycle

How to feel more energized during each season of your cycle? Believe it or not my friend, you are literally like nature. You have a code, a blueprint, or what I now like to call a flow print that is embedded and programmed into your body, actually into every single woman on this planet. It's so, so powerful. It's so so powerful that you start to wonder what you were doing before you knew this information.


Let's talk about your inner seasons. So this is actually the secret again using and optimizing your inner seasons just like the daffodils don't grow in the winter, and the snow doesn't fall in the summer, there's a reason and there's a season for everything. The same logic is applied to your menstrual cycle. Let's talk about the seasons that we have in nature. We've got spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Our menstrual cycle phases have the exact same, let's just say DNA. Let's just say it's the same type of DNA. I like that. What do you think about, what images and feelings, what are you seeing, hearing, and feeling when you think about the seasons of nature? So winter for me is like the season of rest, nourishment, recharge, hibernation, and preparation. Spring, what does that bring about for you? The season of new beginnings, growth, detoxing, and new energy. Summer is the season of high activity, being sociable, being confident, and being seen. Autumn, this season is the season of retreating healing, slowing down, balancing, grounding, editing, reviewing, tying up those loose ends, and getting yourself ready for what? For it to happen all over again because it's a cycle.


When I discovered this information, this information literally blew my mind. I couldn't believe that this stuff wasn't taught in school. If we were taught this in school, then we would be able to really harness our hormonal changes. When I say harness, I really mean use our hormonal changes to live a more compassionate life, to have a more compassionate outlook on our lives. We will be able to live in sync with our cycles in a way that gives us the best frickin power, the best type of power that you want, aka your period power, but also your personal power, which is working with you and not against you. This is what I mean by understanding how to feel more energized each season of your cycle is simply the secret to getting everything that you want in your life, in your personal life, in your business life, in your health and fitness life, and professionally, whatever it is. The secret to feeling like life is happening for you, not to you, is by understanding the power that is embedded inside your menstrual cycle. This is not to be taken lightly. I'm not talking about, oh yeah, you feel more energized, right now I'm talking about real-life superpowers that allow you to unlock the keys to what success means to you on your terms, not what society deems as a success. You can unlock these superpowers at each stage of your menstrual cycle, each inner season. I'm going to tell you how to feel more energized each season of your cycle right now.



  1. Winter


Your inner winter is actually the time that you are bleeding. This is your menstrual phase. This is the time that you are on your period, essentially, when you're on your period. Let me just make this point very clear, your period and your cycle are not the same things. Your period happens inside of your cycle. Your cycle is what's going on for those 28 days or let's see, it could be 21 days, it could be 20 days, could be 40 days, however long your cycle is, that entire time when your body is changing, and your hormones are going up and down and fluctuating and in your reproductive system. Winter is the time when you are literally meant to be connecting with yourself. How you harness the energy of your cycle at this phase is to rest. It is to rest. Your body has literally been building a muscle in your uterine lining for the entire month. When you are on your period and you're bleeding, it is a release. It's a release. That's hard work building up that uterine lining to potentially have a baby and then you don't have the baby, and then it's shedding, that's your period blood. That is the time that you are meant to be resting. However, just because you're meant to be resting at this time, it doesn't mean that you are going to be feeling super low energy. The work that you put in at the beginning stage of your cycle is what is really going to help you to not feel completely conked out during your winters and you're inner winter.


How you can feel more energized is to ask yourself, where can I show myself some more kindness and patience? Where can you show yourself more kindness and patience? I bet by simply asking yourself that question, you will start to feel a shift in your body because you're going to realize that you are either allowing yourself to flow or you are forcing something. That simple mindset shift is going to allow you to feel more energized.


2. Spring


I love spring so much. I love spring as a season in nature, also I love spring in my cycle. This is typically days 6 to 12 of your cycle, so you stop bleeding. This is the phase of your cycle that is called your follicular phase. Spring is going to make you feel inspired. You're going to want to set new intentions in spring, you're going to feel really creative in spring. How to feel more energized during this phase of your cycle, though, is to not rush the process and literally let nature take its course. Otherwise, you'll be doing yourself a disservice because spring calls for a fresh start, new beginnings, hoping, excitement and you're going to feel more playful, you're going to be wanting to make jokes again, and you're going to want to dip your toe back in the water again and maybe try something new. However, don't force yourself to be everywhere and be for everyone during this phase. I'm definitely encouraging you to take a leap to try something new but don't go steaming ahead with anything just yet. This is how you're going to be able to preserve your energy at each phase.


3. Summer


Your summer phase is your ovulation phase. This is where you're feeling the horniest, you're feeling a lot more like sexual energy in and around your body but also what's happening here scientifically, is that an egg has been released. This is the point of which, if you are sexually active, where if an egg gets fertilized, you become pregnant. With summer, everyone loves summer, right? Who doesn't like the summer, warm evenings, sunsets, brighter mornings, it's a vibe. I love the summer. if I could wear sunglasses all year round, that's what I would do. Everybody who really knows me knows that I love wearing my sunglasses, every opportunity I can get but that's a whole nother story. Let's stick to menstrual cycles. How do you feel more energized during your inner summer, your ovulation phase, is to keep your body moving. Exercise, burn off that excess energy that you have because if you don't, you are going to feel quite scattered. You're going to want to do everything and be everywhere and do all of these things by spinning loads of plates, having your parents-in-law around, making that dinner, inviting that friend over, going to that networking event, doing that live q&a, you see what I mean. You can do all of the things because the estrogen levels in your body have risen and testosterone has risen as well. However, to feel more energized during this phase is to keep your body moving in a way that you are kind of like introducing that movement medicine and also sticking to a routine. You're gonna have more energy during this phase so get up a little bit earlier and make sure that you're really carving out time for a morning routine even though you may feel like that is not necessary, you want to do so. In summer, I really want you to celebrate yourself. Celebrate yourself in your summer. When I say that, I mean ask yourself, what can I celebrate right now? Check on areas of your life where you want to celebrate and do things. Do those little mini-celebration dances, have those dance breaks or share how you are winning in life. Do it because when you get to your inner autumn, which we're going to touch on now, the story is gonna look a little bit different.



4. Autumn



Inner autumn the time that you are meant to be retreating and tying up loose ends, refining, healing, grounding, and all of those things, but guess what? Enter the wild woman. Yeah, the wild woman. Yes. You, wild woman. You might be a bit wild during this phase, you might be a bit crazy during this phase. You may be a little bit erratic, oversensitive, or irritable. But you can use this to your advantage. What, Vianney? What, that's what you’re asking me right now. You're asking me how can I be using my crazy wild woman phase to my advantage? To be honest with you, I used to absolutely dread this phase, especially when I had PMDD because it would be the phase that I would literally sink real, real deep. I would try and cling on to that summer so much and count the days that I had left in summer until I felt that shift and I entered what I used to call Hell week. When you feel that shift, and you may feel a little bit lethargic, a little bit of disinterest in the world, I urge you, I urge you love, I urge you to spend some time in your own company. I urge you to spend time in your own company because autumn is a time for listening and to let go of resistance, to go with it, to flow with it, to align with it, and to really see what magic unfolds when you stop pushing. This is how you're able to preserve your energy, respect your energy, and have energy at each phase of your cycle instead of trying to be on the go all the time.


What you should be asking yourself during this phase is what are the things in your life that you want to say no to? Doesn't that feel so free? Doesn't that feel so free to ask yourself what are the things in life that I want to say no to? I bet you have a big long list. Nobody else is going to come to you and say, I'm thinking of a name, I’ll use my friend's name Lucy, Lucy tell me what you want to say no to. No one's gonna do that. You have to be at cause. You have to give yourself permission to say no. Another thing you could say is what form or belief do you think you need to let go of because whatever thought or belief it is that's draining you and that's taken away your energy. When your energy is depleted, you are not able to get what you want. It's as simple as that. You're not able to get what you want. You're not on the right frequency. What are you choosing to feel right now? Are you choosing to feel stressed out and depleted with low energy? Are you choosing to say what can I let go of right now?
